New trends in business and university education: balance between interests and values

On June 8, 2017, the Vth International Business Forum "Science - Business - Education: Strategic Partnership" was held at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. For a third consecutive year, GERZ participated in the forum. The company was represented by its HR Director Tatyana Podobedova.

The issues of defining global trends in the business environment and education and the need to take them into consideration were among the core questions discussed at the Business Forum. The results of the national-level research on coincidences and differences in terms of motives, interests and values ​​of the educational process participants were presented at the Forum.

The participants drew up the profiles of contemporary students, teachers and employers through the prism of their key interests. They also defined the key divergences between the expectations of graduates and business requirements towards employees.

Tatyana Podobedova took part in the "Employer - Teacher - Student: balance between interests and values" discussion panel, which covered the issues related to improving the training process for agricultural business and banking experts, as well as for HR managers.

Among the issues discussed at the Forum were the following:

- the relevance of focusing on creating favorable conditions for maximum self-fulfillment of employees and for the development of their potential from the business perspective;

- the cultural differences between the generations in terms of values, motives and requirements, as well as the specifics of the younger generation requirements towards employers and teachers.
